HI, I’M CAYLA GREENWAY

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and the founder of Therapy in Motion. My journey into this work began long before graduate school. I started playing soccer at age four and continued competing through college, retiring after graduating from Ferrum College. Athletics shaped not only my discipline and resilience, but also my understanding of the powerful connection between movement and mental wellness.

I earned my graduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and am fully licensed to provide clinical mental health counseling as a LCMHC. Throughout my career, I have pursued advanced training in ADHD, play therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My work is grounded in a trauma-informed lens, meaning I approach every client with an understanding of how life experiences shape behavior, emotions, and relationships.

Movement has been an essential part of my own mental health journey, which is why I am passionate about offering therapy that feels engaged and active rather than confined in a traditional office setting. I enjoy working with individuals who appreciate a more dynamic approach—whether that means walking side-by-side outdoors or incorporating practical, skills-based strategies into outdoor seated sessions.

My goal is to create a space where you feel supported, empowered, and challenged to grow. I am honored to walk alongside you in that process and look forward to working with you.
